This winter has tossed a curve ball to our favorite Woodinville wineries, as they were once again closed for indoor tastings and dining. As the winery owners in this amazing community pivoted and found new ways to sell wine and serve customers, we saw amazing efforts to create safe patios spaces.
We were thrilled to visit Chateau Lill and enjoy this extraordinary estate while sipping new wines and snacking on tasty charcuterie boxes. Reservations are definitely recommended, but once you have arrived, you will have an opportunity to safely explore the property.
Sparkman Cellars has done an incredible job with their covered outdoor space. Visiting this iconic tasting room is so exciting now that they have opened up their new facility in the former Red Hook Brewery. Although we can’t go inside for tastings at the moment, you will enjoy a great setting in this covered outdoor patio, while we wait for indoor wine tasting options to open back up.
Otis Kenyon has also gotten creative with options for outdoor tastings, and pick up bottle sales. On a sunny day, this wine garden at Apple Farm Village is a wonderful place to taste wine. Reservations are highly recommended.
We stopped at Fidelitas to buy a few bottles of their amazing wines and met these two friendly dogs. Add this spot to your list of dog friendly outdoor patios!
One of our favorite Woodinville restaurants to grab lunch and a cocktail from is the Hollywood Tavern, and this outdoor setup with the cozy firepit never disappoints! We typically find a table or a seat here, but takeout orders are another favorite way to enjoy their delicious food.
Chateau Ste. Michelle offers private igloo rentals and several other different patio wine tasting options. We are dying to visit and check out their igloos, we love this idea so much!
This is just a small handful of the Woodinville patios that we have visited this winter and felt safe and socially distanced. If you are a winery owner and would like us to pay you a visit, please reach out to us here or on one of our social media channels listed below. We would LOVE to hear from you!
If you are planning a trip to Woodinville, stay tuned as we will be publishing an additional post in the coming week or two with many more outdoor wine tasting options for you to try.
Cheers!
~Jen
