Our Woodinville and Washington wineries need our support yet again – Our governor has required wineries to close to indoor tastings and only offer outdoor tastings for the next month. (You can still walk inside wineries to buy bottles of wine to take home).
Outdoor tastings are fun, and nearly every winery has put up tents, but not everyone wants to come taste wine in the rain. So if you can purchase wine for your home cellar and your holiday celebrations, consider picking up some of the new wine releases for Autumn 2020 from our local wineries here in Woodinville.
Let’s take a look at some of the new autumn wine releases from the tasting rooms at The Junction!
At Gard Vintners, they have released a 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, the 2017 Roussanne Grand Klasse Reserve, a 2017 Cabernet Franc; a 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon and their 2017 Winemakers Select Cabernet Sauvignon, their 2017 “The Don” red wine blend, a 2017 Malbec I’m dying to taste, and finally a 2017 Merlot (that one is a wine club exclusive).
Also, I am so excited I can barely type this, they are releasing their 2018 Skal Sparkling Wine on November 20! This Méthode Champenoise style wine is made with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. I’m thinking I need a bottle for my Virtual Thanksgiving Friendsgiving celebration this year! Christina warned me that they have a VERY limited amount of these bottles for sale in the Woodinville tasting room, so come shop for one sooner rather than later if you’re interested in this sparkling wine.
Next door at Five Star Cellars, this winery released their 2014 Merlot, 2014 Cassiopeia, and their 2015 Sangiovese back in September. Right after Thanksgiving, they plan to release their 2015 Syrah, 2015 Stellar (one of my favorites!) their Left Bank Bordeaux and their 2015 Supernova. They’ll also release a Petit Verdot and their Cabernet Franc blend. Sounds like I will be doing some wine shopping soon!
Beaumont Cellars recently released their Beaumont Cellars Red Mountain 2017 Reserve Malbec, a 2017 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, and a 2018 Sangiovese. I ran down right away to purchase that Sangio!
The new wine release from Armstrong Family Winery is the award-winning 2016 Scotsman Syrah. Just before autumn, they released their 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon and made their 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon available to the public (which had previously been a club exclusive).
Sol Stone Winery released their 2017 Grenache recently, with grapes grown at Weinbau and Stone Tree Vineyards on the Wahluke Slope. This upcoming weekend, their wine club release is going on. Lucky wine club members can purchase the 2019 Sundance (a Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon blend), the 2017 Grenache, the Buzzard Blend red blend, and Sol Stone’s Tempranillo.
You’ll also want to check out their Grateful Red 2017, 2017 Syrah, 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, and their fantastic 2019 white wines.
Happy wine shopping at The Junction!
