I recently visited Panther Creek Cellars, with my friend, Renae and we were instantly taken with this cheerful entrance. I had popped into this unique Woodinville tasting room a few times prior, however, this was the first time that I was able to stay for a full tasting. Madelaine was so helpful and friendly – we had a great experience here!
The wine tasting lineup included selections from several single-vineyard wines as well as the 2017 Winemaker’s Cuvee red blend.
This 2016 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Chardonnay was our first pour of the afternoon. This was a very crisp and refreshing Chardonnay, with grapefruit and floral characteristics on the nose and a clean finish.
I love the open layout at this tasting room. There is an open seating area with stools and a U-shaped seating area. This arrangement allows for such a friendly atmosphere, and the staff here was very knowledgeable and helpful.
This is the Diva, the most adorable winery dog! She was so friendly and social. We love dog-friendly tasting rooms like Panther Creek.
My favorite was the 2016 DePonte Vineyard Pinot Noir. The cheery aromas were what immediately jumped out at me in this medium-bodied pinot. This would be delicious paired with a pizza or grilled veggies and seafood.
My friend Renae loved the 2015 Carter Vineyard Pinot Noir. This vintage earned 92 points from Wine Enthusiast. It had notes of raspberries, cherries and a bit of tobacco. Cellaring is recommended in order to bring out the best of this wine.
If you are a fan of Oregon Pinot Noir wine, you will love Panther Creek Cellars. Visit them in Woodinville’s Hollywood District at 14455 Woodinville Redmond Road, Woodinville, right around the corner from Purple Cafe. They are open for wine tasting Sunday – Thursday from 12-5 pm and Friday – Saturday from 12-6 pm.
Cheers!
