It was with much anticipation that Carrie and I attended the 2019 Ashton Troy release party at Lauren Ashton Cellars! The staff there makes us feel like family, so it is always a pleasure to visit their Woodinville tasting room at the Apple Farm Village.
The event had a great turnout of folks excited to try Ashton Troy’s latest releases. Ashton Troy is the second label from Lauren Ashton Cellars, and is typically only available for purchase in restaurants. This release event gave guests the option of buying from the tasting room for one night only.
Seattle based musician Benni James provided the live music for the night and had the crowd energized with his performance! You can check out more from his debut album here.
This Ashton Troy 2014 Malbec was delicious and will only get better with time (if I can wait, eek!). We were also given the opportunity to taste the 2014 Syrah, which Carrie and I really enjoyed!
Owner/winemaker Kit Singh is always a gracious and classy host. Here we asked him to pose with us and showcase the latest Lauren Ashton Rosé release. He kindly obliged!
Since we were fan-girling over the Lauren Ashton Rosé, Kit brought a bottle of Ashton Troy’s 2018 Rosé out and chilled it for us to taste. I love the updated pink bottle label, which he told us was designed by his wife Riinu. This second label of wines from LAC is named after the couple’s son, Ashton Troy.
We also had the chance to catch up with Director of Business Development, Kimberly Ellertson, who seems like an old friend whenever I see her. We hope to drag her out with us in the near future for some fun Woodinville wine tastings. Stay tuned!
As always, the Lauren Ashton Cellars team put on a fun event. Last but not least, I should mention that the food was provided by Seattle restaurant Tulio (yum!). We look forward to visiting the tasting room soon.
