With nothing to do on a beautifully sunny Sunday other than laundry and house cleaning, I decided to invite my friend Teresa out to lunch and wine tasting in Woodinville. (She’s terrified of cameras, so I respected her wishes and didn’t take her photo! We ended up dining outdoors on the patio outside at Bistro at Hollywood Schoolhouse, warm enough in our coats and with the sun on our skin.
She healthfully ordered a salad for her lunch. I should have followed her example, after all the holiday parties I ate and drank at last month!
I got them to make me a vegetarian version of their BLT, with fried eggs instead of bacon. Their French fries are so delicious, I’ve been craving them ever since.
After lunch we headed over to Lauren Ashton Cellars for wine tasting. The atmosphere is always cozy, and the tasting room staff is fun and friendly.
Teresa took my photo since she didn’t want to be in any. I was still rocking glittery sweaters, not quite ready for the festive season to be over!
