Our social club (Eastside Social Club on Meetup) had so much fun the week before at Davenport Cellars, we decided to meet again for wine and snacks.
As always, Sheila and Jeff were fantastic hosts and made us feel right at home.
This was the first time we’d visited during nice hot sunny weather. We were delighted to see Davenport Cellars’ patio setup! Shady and right outdoors where we could watch the action as wine tasters strolled by on their explorations of the Woodinville Warehouse District.
Most of my friends opted for glass pours of Davenport’s Rosé wine, so we gave up and bought a couple bottles to share. It was the perfect refreshing wine for a hot summer day!
I was delighted to see some of our newer members making friends and getting to know our regulars.
My friend Dee is so busy with work and school that I hardly ever get to see her. Such a delight to have her surprise me by showing up and joining us for wine!
One of my friends ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with a side salad. I wished I hadn’t had such a big breakfast previously so I could have enjoyed Davenport’s delicious food again!
Davenport Cellars’ Rosé is their 2016 release from Red Mountain AVA. It’s made with 100% Sangiovese grapes. Davenport Cellars makes a small number of cases of this, so I was glad we were able to indulge in a couple glasses each.
If you’re looking for a nice, air conditioned place to meet friends for wine tasting or snacks before you head out to other tasting rooms, consider stopping by Davenport Cellars!
