On Sunday, I made arrangements to bring a group of friends from Eastside Social Club to taste wine and share some snacks at Davenport Cellars in the Warehouse District in Woodinville. It was a rainy, cloudy, cool day so we were able to hang out with some of the disappointed hikers and bikers we wouldn’t have seen on a summer Sunday otherwise.
Davenport’s owners, Sheila and Jeff, were on hand to ensure we had a warm welcome and a fabulous experience. I ordered an antipasto board, a cheese board, and a hummus plate to start us off.
We really enjoyed the bread, oil and olives too. One of our members kindly ordered a bottle of Davenport’s delicious wines to share with our first social club members who showed up.
A couple of ladies ordered flatbreads and wedge salads, and a friend enjoyed the soup of the day.
We split up into smaller groups to explore the tasting rooms in walking distance, with several people staying behind at Davenport to greet any late arrivals from our social club. We found this a perfect venue for our meetup – plenty of parking, lots of seating, amiable hosts and staff, and dozens of wine tasting rooms just steps away!
Davenport Cellars is located at 19501 144th Ave NE, Suite B600, Woodinville, WA 98072.
