We tend to get cabin fever after a long week of working indoors at our computers, hunched over steaming hot cups of tea or coffee. So when we see opportunities to get out of the house AND taste wine AND hang out with friends, we go for it! We wanted to share some events worth bundling up and leaving the house for!
This January, Columbia Winery here in Woodinville is hosting “Foodie Fridays.” They’re held from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. If you can sneak out of work early, you can take advantage of their $2 off premium glass pours and bottles of wine. Their seasonal food offerings are also $2 off at these events.
On January 4, Jessie Siren will perform live music. Javier Anderson performs music on January 12. Jerri Roberts sings in the winery on January 19, and David Flett will perform on Friday January 25.
We’re excited about Woodhouse Wine Estates‘ “Happy Hours Wednesdays.” They begin at 6pm and run as late as 9pm – a wonderfully rare late closing here in Woodinville! They serve wine and food.
Their happy hours also feature live music. Brian James performs on January 10; Nick Deonigi plays on Wednesday January 17th; Ian Skavdahl performs on January 24; and the final performance in January will be by Dean Backholm, Wednesday January 30.
Over at Willows Lodge, their Fireside Lounge has live music on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-9:30 pm.
At the Woodinville Junction, Gard Vintners has two tempting winter evening events coming up: Wine & Canvas on Saturday, January 13 from 7pm to 10pm; and Second Friday Live Music, Friday January 12 from 5pm to 7pm. Ian Skavdahl will perform live music, and there will be food and wine available, of course!
A few fun things are coming up at one of our favorite tasting rooms, Castillo de Feliciana! Their Acoustic Nights are on Friday January 5 and Friday January 19, from 6pm to 9pm. On the alternating Fridays, “Beat the Geek Trivia” takes place from 7pm to 8:30pm (Friday January 12 and Friday January 26.
Gorman Winery also hosts live music events on Friday night from 6pm to 8pm. I’d be super tempted to start with a pizza next door at Vivi Pizzeria!
We of course can’t forget about the very popular live music Fridays over at Matthews Winery! They also have a Corks & Canvas event coming up on Wednesday January 17, and a Women, Wisdom and Wine event on Wednesday, January 31.
