I wasn’t able to celebrate my friend Sarah’s birthday on the actual day, but wanted to treat her to a nice meal out. We settled on a Friday – she’s a teacher and has Fridays off, luckily. We arranged to meet in Woodinville, and she chose The Commons for her birthday meal!
It happened to be Negroni Week, with proceeds going to a local charity. What a nice excuse to order a White Negroni for my beverage!
Often, I try to encourage myself to break out of my comfort zone and order something different. But the mushroom gruyere scramble is so good here, I couldn’t pass it up. It comes with home fries. (Luckily, they serve their breakfast plates until 3pm!)
Sarah chose the delicious fire-roasted tomato soup with a side of tasty chopped salad.
I toasted Sarah “Happy birthday” and then suggested we move onto a wine tasting at Brian Carter Cellars next door!
Stop by The Commons Facebook and Instagram feeds to see what’s going on at this popular restaurant!
