On a recent weekday morning, three ladies from Woodinville Wine Blog met up for lunch at Barking Frog. Eager to visit with each other, we all showed up early – about half an hour before their 11:30 am Lunch opening time.
We happily set off on a walk through their immaculately maintained landscaped property, exploring all the beautiful areas hotel guests can luxuriate in during their stay.
We stopped to admire and sniff this incredible purple butterfly bush near the spa’s outdoor gazebo.
Around the corner we discovered this pond and its fabulous statue guardians.
(You can learn more about the statues here).
Many surprises and delights awaited our discovery.
Every so often we’d turn a corner and find hotel guests tucked away on a bench or at a table, enjoying their morning coffee in the relaxing park-like gardens.
We stopped for a couple minutes to admire this stunning wild rose bush.
The roses smelled heavenly!
We fantasized about sitting out here some evening with glasses of wine, stargazing.
Being locals with not much excuse to stay overnight at the hotel (perhaps for a future birthday or girls retreat weekend?) we can only imagine the lovely view hotel guests have out their windows.
So many gorgeous flowers to look at!
We meandered to the herb garden, each of us taking a moment to sit, relax and reflect among the plants. We didn’t tarry too long, however, as it was finally time for our assuredly delicious lunch at Barking Frog!
